Four years ago I moved to Melbourne. Among the many life-changing events I was looking for was immersion in a culture of very good coffee. Whilst I’ve found some excellent cafes I’ve only just discovered my favourite … whilst on holiday … on the other side of the continent.
re:hab on the main drag of Port Douglas has consistently good coffee with a crema to die for. Just take a gander at this, one of my many piccolo lattes:

There are some rules to this establishment though …

Now that I’m back in the city of the big grey cloud I’m already thinking about my next holiday to FNQ and, if I’m lucky, a few more scrummy piccolos.

LOL, I love the sign, particularly points 2 and 4. And I cannot drink a cup of coffee anymore without wondering if it would pass the Jem Test.
